Murky Sunday afternoons

A thoroughly murky Sunday afternoon.  A few glimpses of the sun this morning, but it seems to have gone now for the rest of the day.  We’re back to being just ourselves, with Christmas and New Year guests returned to their homes.  They are missed.

With less looking after of others to do, I’ve stitched away at my patchwork quilt today.  I’m hand stitching because I love to, which means that this is a long-term project.  Photos to follow when I’ve worked out how to insert them!

A vital task for today was to submit objections to a planning application which would see an additional 4,000+ houses built nearby.  I can’t bear to lose the local countryside with all the fabulous wildlife and dog walks.  So – task completed and objection submitted.  Time for more stitching …
